ABOUT
In 2004, Grady Elder founded “Kids In Need”
as he recognized the need for an emergency fund when several local children became ill or were seriously injured. As a high school art teacher Grady was always passionate about making a difference in the lives of children. His thoughts were consumed by it and his actions reflected it. After Grady’s sudden death in August 2007, “Kids In Need” was renamed “Grady’s Kids” in his honor.

WHAT WE DO
Grady’s Kids was established as an emergency fund to assist with things such as travel expenses (many times out of state), groceries, and other financial assistance. It is our intention to relieve stress and worry for the parents of sick and/or injured children so that they can focus on that which matters the most, the health and well-being of their child.
As Grady’s Kids has grown we have been able to do more for children. In addition to buying school clothes and helping with enrollment, Grady’s Kids sponsors events within the schools addressing topics such as character development, bullying, internet safety and more. These events are offered for all children in each of the 3 school districts in Linn county, KS.
